Garnet Hill Dress

dress: Garnet Hill c/o
jacket: Target
wedges: old (similar)
bag: Ivanka Trump
watch: Fossil
bracelet: Kate Spade
Whenever I'm trying to pick a dress from a store, it seems like there are more than a few options and I want them all. But when I can have any dress I can't seem to make up my mind. It was really hard to pick just one dress from the Garnet Hill collection of dresses! I wasn't sure if I wanted a maxi or could still fit into a short jersey dress. This print is so full of summer and will be perfect for after I have my baby girl (it's definitely breastfeeding friendly). If I actually had a waist, I would definetely go for this one (or this one). See, what did I tell ya? It's hard to pick just one - they are all so pretty! Thank you for stopping by!

Well hello there! Look who got dressed up again. ha! I'm in love with this stretchy jersey dress that I found in TJMaxx recently. I have three weddings to go to and bridal shower before my due date and I have lost all hope at finding something pretty to wear. Then, I found this dress! It literally makes me feel like a million bucks and that's a great thing when you are 33 weeks pregnant. If you are on look out for a great maternity dress (that will double as non maternity once you have the baby) hit up your TJMaxx - I love their selection and constant new inventory. Mint Floral Bump

dress: Pink Blush Maternity (non maternity options here and for plus size here )
shoes: BCBG (similar here /on sale/ and here)
bag: Ivanka Trump
I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed the holiday festivities. We had a few family gatherings, ate too much food and finally confirmed that it is a GIRL we are expecting with second ultrasound. I don't know how it is I'm having exactly the same pregnancy as last time but the baby is different gender. I'm excited about all the pink coming our way though! Here is to two more months until we meet our baby girl!
As soon as Pink Blush Maternity put this mint floral dress up on their website, I wanted it. It's so perfect for spring and summer! The dress is light and airy, has a nice slip layer and looks good with lot of different shoe and bag options (see my first look with this dress here). I think it will be great even after I have the baby!

Metallic

skirt: NY&Co (similar), tank: Pink Blush Matenity c/o, jacket: thrifted (similar here and here), pumps: Target, bag: Amazon

If you think about how many changes a woman's body goes through while she's pregnant, it's simply amazing. From the expanding abdomen that's capable of accommodating a baby of any size (or a few) to how her bones shift to give way for the baby. The baby is getting everything he or she needs through mother without mother's knowledge or help. It's so fascinating! Every time I feel the baby move I'm simply amazed at the fact that I'm carrying a life inside of me. A brand new life that was created and given to me to bring into this world. How amazing is that? It is truly a miracle and I cannot wait to see our little baby girl!

How To Look Cute While Pregnant

Why is it so hard to find cute, comfortable and trendy maternity clothes?! I'm sure there are plenty of pregnant women out there. Having clothes that fit well, flatter and aren't going to break the bank are almost impossible to find when carrying the little miracle. I don't know if people assume you are going to lose all sense of feminine identity and become a sweat pant-wearing shapeless shell of a woman, but I am not.
Almost all the maternity clothes out there lack sense of fashion and if it's something I like, it costs way more than I'm willing to pay! I've been remixing and wearing my non-maternity pieces as much as I can, while choosing the right kinds of material and styles. Here are some of my tips for showing off that bump in style because girl, you are carrying the greatest miracle inside you. Don't hide it! Be happy and proud of your body for doing the most incredible job in the world.

Wear Solid Colors

I know, I'm wearing a patterned dress in top picture but solids flatter every body type. Especially when choosing bottoms, go with dark (black, navy, brown) pants that stretch. The darker colors will visually slim you down and hide all imperfections. If you are one of the few that doesn't gain an ounce in the butt while pregnant, go ahead and wear your white skinnies. I am not one of them.

Invest in Well-Fitting Maternity Clothes

It seems like such a huge upfront cost paying for good quality maternity clothes but if you consider cost per wear, it goes down to pennies. Try stuff on before buying it and make sure it fits you the best way possible. Don't buy cheap, ill-fitting clothes that you will wear once, but instead invest in things you will wear all the time. You feel beautiful every time you get dressed. Maternity jeans are a must as they will grow with you, can be worn pretty much with everything and make you feel good about yourself.

Accentuate Your Waist

You can wear pretty much any top or dress with a little belt over your belly to accentuate what's left of your waist. Even an oversized cardigan, loose tops and maxi dresses can look flattering with this simple trick. You can also tie a blouse over the top of the belly, to remix your clothes even more. Place the belt or the knot right on top of the bump - it will give your figure instant definition.

Wear the Right Kind of Undergarments

Nothing makes a woman feel and look worse than undergarments that are ill fitting (hello wedgie). Wear a correct cup size bra so you don't experience any lumps under the arms or mid section. Also, if you're gaining weight in your bottom area, please purchase bigger underwear and avoid pantie lines. Wear a shaper when you have a tight, or silky dress on - nothing ruins a great item of clothing more than undergarments.

This ad caught my eye on Pinterest and I just can't help but notice how much the times have changed. Sure we don't have to wear corsets and sit with both feet on the floor, but we also don't have to become completely shapeless slobs who don't take care of themselves for nine months. Only because you are pregnant doesn't mean all rules of style, hygiene and grace go out of the window. You are still a woman, so carry that bump with elegance and poise.
