What To Wear During Your Second Trimester

Now that I'm in third trimester, looking back at second trimester bump I have to say is my favorite. That's the time when you popped but haven't turned into a whale yet, can still tie your shoes and don't have heartburn after every meal. To look put together and stylish, I keep couple of tricks up my sleeve and want to share them with you

1. Shift Dress is your best friend. You know those shapeless dresses that only look good on hangers or models? Well, now they can become your best friend. Since they don't have a defined waist, they are perfect with a belt and some heels. Bonus: you can wear them after giving birth!

2. Maternity Jeans/Shorts are a life saver. No need to try to keep that button from popping out, or struggling to keep the belly band up every time you sit down. I love every single pair of maternity jeans  and shorts I owe and wouldn't trade them for the world.

3. Popover is new kind of classic. Do you like the look of a polished dressy shirt? Consider getting a popover in the same color/print. Since there are no buttons lover than the chest area, they won't be opening at the most inconvenient time. Plus, they will be perfect for breastfeeding when the baby arrives. It's a win win in my book!

4. Stretchy Fabrics are the best. When selecting a dress or a top, go for the scuba fabric as it will grow with your bump and accommodate your belly at every stage.

5. Accessorize while you can. Belts, handbags and shoes are the best way to play up the same dress/outfit. Add bracelets and necklaces while you still can and tiny little hands aren't trying to rip them off you.

I think at this point my style posts will have to slow way down. One I don't have much to show as I'm wearing the same things over and over again. Two, I don't want to buy more clothes that will only fit for a few weeks. How To Shop Nordstrom Sale

As any fashionista, I LOVE  good sale and Nordstrom has a great one going on right now. The Nordstrom Half Yearly sale is one of their biggest sales of the year if you don't count the holidays. And the discounts are pretty good, with Rebecca Minkoff bags under $100 (like this one 50% OFF) and Kate Spade sunglasses under $100.  I especially can't stop looking at the dresses and (might have) gotten one (which already sold out). Here are some of my tips for shopping this giant sale.

1. Shop Early. Don't wait until last minute to find that gorgeous bag because the chances are it will sell out very soon. With the prices that are 40-50% OFF regular retail, it's hard to hold off on buying something you've been wanting for a while.

2. Know What You Want/Need. There are over 50 pages of the sale and if you try to look through all of it, you will be wasting your time and won't be able to narrow things down. Be precise in what you want and look it. That will help you skim through the rest of the stuff.

3. Filter You Search. When you know exactly what you want, set the price, color and brand filters for the item of your choice. That way you can get more shopping done in shorter amount of time. If you want wedges, don't waste your time for looking at flats. They have very good search optimization filters which work for you when shopping for specific item.

4. Shop Smart. With free shipping and returns, if you aren't sure about exact sizing of something, just order both sizes. When it arrives try it on and send the unwanted, ill-fitting item bag. The same goes even for handbags and accessories. Not sure which color to get? Order both and decide later. After all, you don't want to miss out on a great deal.

5. Stock Up On Basics. Things like denim and basic white shirt will never go out of style so double up when getting your favorites. If you know the brand and have worn it (and LOVE it) get more than one. After all, you can always return it.

I love spring time because I get a chance to renew my wardrobe and hopefully shop for some new accessories! Spring is the best time to update your bags and shoes because there are so many new styles and colors. I'm in love with neon and light colored pumps, but haven't tried espadrilles yet. These are my favorite picks for this spring and summer - I'm dying over these pumps and the perfect tote that is currently on sale.

About a Million Years Late



I'm just getting on the sneakers trend and liking how they are being styled all over the fashion blogs. I have been eyeing a few (one, two and three) but honestly can't decide which pair to get. Spring is coming and I know with the growing belly, and back aches I will need more comfortable shoes (although I will never get rid of my heels haha). Here are some of my top choices!

Have you seen this clutch over all over the fashion blogs? Well, it's been around for a while and its popularity doesn't seem to be slowing down. Of course, pony hair and the brand name are tempting but the price tag is not easy to swallow. I've been dreaming about it for a while and decided to make my own. I've taken an old clutch and wrapped it in calf hair-like material in under $10. It was super easy and looks great, don't you think? A tutorial is coming soon but in the mean time here are some other options on a budget (or not).

Welcome to another week closet to spring! Rain boots and layers are on the horizon and I couldn't be happier about it. I'm looking for a pair of pastel colored (example one, two, three) rain boots and can't decide which ones to get. First to be considered is quality and than calf width and glossiness. So which rain boots will you be sporting this spring?
I'm wearing a pair of Firmoo glasses (non prescription) which I really like. They have a cute style and look very nice in person. Whoever, I've received a comment from someone who does wear glasses that they are not very sturdy for long time wear. I think they would be good for someone who needs them for reading or an occasion, whoever they will not hold up long time wear.
