As the weather gets colder, it's a lot harder to take outfit pictures outside. The photographer is all bundled up in coat and I'm freezing my tail off for about ten minutes. Then I ask myself, why am I doing this?
Well, for one, I love doing it because blogging is my creative outlet, which doesn't let me get into mommy jeans rut at home.
Secondly, as I've mentioned before, my goal is to inspire people and show girls that you can dress fashionably yet modestly.
I hope my efforts are not in vain.
Really, I will have to find a better location for outfit pictures this winter because I'm on the verge of giving up. The cold wind and snow will do that to ya.
You can only go so far until you can't feel your toes and shivering from the icy chill.
What would you do for you blog? How far would you take your determination?
Do share ladies!
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Taking my pics with the camera from the back of my car in a secluded parking lot when I have no photographer.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Had to laugh at this one! I live in Montana and I'm a modest fashion blogger as well!
ReplyDeleteI usually take photos no matter what the weather is! Unless it's very cold (-30) or it's snowing hard. Although I have to say, my hardest thing is to get my photographer (AKA my little sister) to take photos for me! She's always "I don't want to go out in the cold....why...!?!?!" But then I reminder of all the ways my blog has benefited her....and meanly maker her go outside. At least she gets to wear a coat! ;)
I love your outfit! It's so cute, the light purple is perfect on you!

I was just thinking about this today, because temperatures here in Houston just dropped. I struggled with my tripod and skirt for about 15 mins before deciding that I needed to use more indoor locations. I'm glad to see that you're determined to make it work---and that burgundy/pink combo is heavenly!

ReplyDeleteJust discovered your blog - love your sense of writing and style!
ReplyDeleteI always wondered what other bloggers do for outdoor photos in the cold winter months! I prefer outdoor photos much more than indoors so I've got to figure it out too!
