Home With Aroma Soy Candles

Decorating the house is always a favorite of mine. I love refreshing tour home with some beautiful items and new candles. The candles are a great addition for fall, as they add warmth and great smell. I love putting a candle on when I'm doing my devotions in the morning and it makes my day. The awesome natural candles from Aroma Soy Candles are handmade using only high quality-natural materials: 100% pure soy wax, lead/zinc free cotton wicks and blends of natural oils for fragrance. All proceeds from this weekend will go to benefit a family in Houston! Give the Aroma Soy Candles some love and check them out on Etsy!

Thank you for stopping by!

Simple Easter Table Decor

Hello there! It's spring time and I'm so excited! We have had a mild winter but last snow storm left us wishing for a little bit more sunshine. It's officially spring on the calendar it does not feel so outside. Even though, I have been bringing small pieces of spring inside my house. I definitely changed my front door wreath and started the Easter table setup. Not a lot of people (me included) have hundreds of dollars for table decor, especially since it's a very short season. I gathered what I had around the house and this is what I came up with. I did buy the flowers ($20) from Michael's and the M&M's  with eggs ($2.28 each) from Walmart. Thinking outside the box and using what you have on hand will yield most unique results. If you look closer you will notice that my drinking glasses are all different but that's even more fun. I used clothespins to hold name cards and simple plastic plates inside the real ones which can be used for salad (or dessert). There are no rules and as long as you like the finished result, that's all that matters.
Hope you draw inspiration and get some ideas on how to set up your Easter table.

Christmas Card Display {DIY}

Ever wonder what to do with all those Christmas cards you get before December 24th? I always struggle to find space on my refrigerator to fit everyone's cards. This year, I'm taking a creative approach to a Christmas card display. I found this idea on Pineterst (yes I'm not that original) and decided to put it to life. With the pretty cards from Tiny Prints, I love how it all came together.

PROCESS:

1. Find an old frame (or a picture and tear it out)

2. Spray paint the bare frame a color of your choice (mine is Mettalic Gold)

4. Attach pretty decorations (example)

5. Turn the frame backwards and attach the lights. Make sure you know which way your wire is going to end, because you want it to reach the plug. Also, don't take the extra lights out of the garland - the whole thing will die (you live and you learn)

6. Attach it to the wall or put up on a mantle and display your holiday cards, like I did with my Christmas cards from Tiny Prints

ENJOY!

Glam Thanksgiving Tablescape {Home Decor} + $50 TARGET Giveaway

I love decorating for fall but sometimes it just gets too orange-y. Of course, there is the rustic look which a lot of people adore and do great job with. My favorite though, is a fancy with a touch of rustic (the table runner). It's always nice to sit down to a perfectly decorated table while enjoying delicious food. So if traditional pumpkins and gourds is not for you, here's a look which empress all your guest (I think).
Here I used a touch of black with the cloth napkins (similar here) and used simple wine glasses. I added a lot of gold here with candle holders, while using simple traditional white plates.  If you notice, I tied a little bow around the silverware which adds a cute touch. I love the unusual cnalde holders, like these and tin plant pots that add a touch of life with greenery. It is extremely difficult to find white pumkins around Thanksgiving so stock up early and shop here for the cutest sugar bowl. And since I had burlap table runner (with white table cloth underneath), it was only sensible to add burlap pumpkins. Plus you can keep all the gold stuff around for Christmas decor. A win - win in my book!
Thank you reading and have a great day!

Simple Thanksgiving Tablescape {Home Decor}

Thanksgiving | Fall Tablescape | Rustic Simple Table | Happy Medley

I know that most of us don't have unlimited budgets when it comes to decor, so here is a look on a budget because who isn't trying to save a couple bucks.

Every time I go on Pinterest to find holiday table inspiration, I love the pretty silverware and the gold accents. But, I cannot spend hundreds of dollars on just table decor, how about food? How about storing all that junk once the holiday is over? I don't have a basement and my garage is stuffed with junk already so really, it's not an option.

This year, I wanted to create something pretty, simple and affordable, so I dug through my decor and bought some pumpkins at the farmers market. I wanted to create a Thanksgiving table look with everything that I already have. I mean, the pumpkins and gourds were 2/$1 and that's a great deal considering they are almost $5 each at the store.

I totally forgot about these napkin rings that I scored on clearance at Bed, Bath and Beyond for dirt cheap, so they came in handy. Flowers I had from my birthday and napkins were laying around for few years unused. The vases I bought at the local Salvation army, filled them with red and white beans, and green and yellow peas (I think you can do red lentils for a pop of color, only I was all out at the time) then placed a candle on top.

And ta-da!!!
