Pink Blush GIVEAWAY

sweatshirt: Old Navy (similar herehere and here), jeans: Pink Blush Maternity c/o (similar), crossbody: Target, scarf: TJMaxx, boots: Hunter (also here), watch: Kate Spade
This outfit is brought to you by the only sunny day we had this week, which turned into rain by the evening, and the rain boots became useful. I snagged these on crazy sale because they were Junior version but for a petite girl like me, I guess that's the secret. I've tried the regular version in store and didn't like how they fit, so when these turned up, I was happier than a kid in a candy store.
I know, I already said that I love my Pink Blush Maternity jeans so you will be seeing a lot of them. Like in every post (unless I'm wearing a dress). The Pink Blush Boutique is giving away an item of your choice, and if you are preggers you can pick anything from Pink Blush Maternity. Enter with the rafflecopter below!

Have a great weekend!

Tassel d'Orsay Flats {DIY}

When I saw these tassel flats in J.Crew catalog, I was totally on board with the new trend. I love how they add a simple and cute touch to the shoes, but I couldn't justify the price tag. When a similar pair showed up at my local Target, (on sale!!!) I bought them. So to make up for the lack of tassels I decided to make this a quick DIY project (which is really not a project at all).
It's ridiculously easy!

Step 1: Prepare your materials, i.e. take the shoes out of the box

Step 2: Warm up the glue gun

Step 3: Place small amount of hot glue in the middle of the front of the shoe and hold the tassels in place until they are set. Repeat the same thing with the other shoe.

Step 4: Enjoy the fruits for your (short) labor

Keeping the Sparkle {Marriage}

To be honest, last few weeks have been really (really) exhausting, physically and emotionally. We both got sick in the middle of a home remodel. The quick remodel turned out to be a two-month-long project which is still not completely done. We were both short and grumpy most of the time, exhausted from the amount of work that needs to be done and regular household duties. My pregnancy hormones and constant backache didn't help the situation. Add to that a few disagreements and you have yourself completely miserable people.
And so we were...

I love spring time because I get a chance to renew my wardrobe and hopefully shop for some new accessories! Spring is the best time to update your bags and shoes because there are so many new styles and colors. I'm in love with neon and light colored pumps, but haven't tried espadrilles yet. These are my favorite picks for this spring and summer - I'm dying over these pumps and the perfect tote that is currently on sale.

Hope you enjoy your day!

The Hunt for the Perfect Easter Dress

How many people have had trouble with finding dresses? I know, I have. Easter and spring seems to be the perfect time to start wearing dresses but it's not always that easy. Especially if you are looking for classy but not too frumpy, girly but not over the top. Here is my selection of favorite dresses right now. Hope you find something pretty for yourself!

Mommyhood: Potty Training Mistakes and Victories

Jonathan turned two years old about a month ago and I would say we have completed his potty training right around then. To be honest, I was a bit optimist starting the process at 9 months old but if I have been a little more persistent, I would have had him (and myself) trained out of diapers earlier.

Long story short we did it and I couldn't be happier. But, do accidents still happen? Yes. Do I forget to take him to the bathroom at a restaurant and he tells me too late that he has to go, while I don't have a change of clothes? Yes. Does he not ask to go to the bathroom while out at a birthday party with his aunt? Yes. But I consider them small mishaps because most of the time he asks to go (sometimes annoyingly too many times). I'm ecstatic that we are done with potty training before the baby arrives because changing two diapers would just be exhausting. Well, here's what I learned from our process.

About a Million Years Late

I'm just getting on the sneakers trend and liking how they are being styled all over the fashion blogs. I have been eyeing a few (one, two and three) but honestly can't decide which pair to get. Spring is coming and I know with the growing belly, and back aches I will need more comfortable shoes (although I will never get rid of my heels haha). Here are some of my top choices!
Do you like the sneaker trend? Have you styled them with dressy pants or just used them for walking? Do share and give me some ideas on how to style them.

Leopard Clutch DIY

Leopard has been a trend that took me a while to embrace and wear. I still have very few things that are leopard print, partially because my hubby sort of hates it. I've been seeing this clutch everywhere and couldn't stop wishing for one. But as I said in yesterday's post, it's way out of my budget so I resorted to simple DIY project to fix this problem. Here is a step by step process for your one of a kind, but sort of like Claire V. looking clutch.

YOU WILL NEED:
- clutch./old cosmetics case
- J.Crew catalog (or any kind of paper to lay your glue gun on)

Step One: Lay out your clutch and measure how much fabric you are going to need. Cut the sides and length allow for 2 inches seam (and of course for human error). Always cut more for the sides (4 inches) that way you can just cut off the extras.

Step Two: apply the hot glue and press it into the clutch. Be careful with fingers and make sure not to add too much glue so it doesn't look messy.

Step Three; Glue the fabric to the back, applying glue to 3-4 inches at a time, then pressing the fabric so it sets. Wait for it to cool and continue on with the rest.

This is not is looks now.

Step Four: Apply hot glue and press the sides in. Make sure not to have to much fabric, so measure it first and cut anything unnecessary.

Step Five: Hot glue the front and fold it over. Cut the whole for your magnet zip with a sharp knife. Apply a little glue all around it and press to seal. Don't worry if it doesn't come out perfect, it will be covered with the envelope top.
And done!

Style your clutch for months and years to come, while people ask you where you got such a pretty piece of accessory. Make sure to PIN any of the image from today's post for later reference.
