Hello and welcome to the Fashion Week (it is actually entire month of shows, travel and new trends). If I was going to the New York Fashion Week (maybe one day!) this is what I would wear. It's still really warm out but everyone will be sporting fall trends. I love the denim on denim look, and open toe booties for this season. Also, plaid is everywhere! (Have you seen Kate Spade look book?) Lastly, you can't go wrong with a sparkly maxi skirt which can be downplayed with a simple tee.

Although I'm not going to be physically present at the shows, I will be watching most of them online. If you had to pick just one (any one) designer, who would you go to see at NYFW? Mine is, Oscar de la Renta! The legendary designer created timeless and classy pieces that I always loved to draw inspiration from.

This fall a lot of trends are staying and lots of new ones are coming onto the scene (hello flares!). Red if this season's hottest color - as a matter of fact, all shades of red are (from burgundy to orangy). Also, lace up flats are all the rage and I'm loving this inexpensive version from Topshop. How about the open toe booties that are all over the blogs right now? The nude version is just perfect for everything from skirts to boyfriend jeans. Hello lovelies! As promised, I've looked through the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and found some great picks for you. I think it's worth looking into shoes, bags and accessories if you are going to splurge on something extra nice. Shirts, tops and jeans you can get on sale later or somewhere less expensive (unless you are the ms. Money Bags of course). 

I love their selection of dresses and all the prints coming out for this fall. How stylish are the new designs from Kate Spade? All the bags, wallets and watches have a clean and simple cut, just the way I like it. Also, pretty bracelets from Kendra Scott and watches are on sale too. Right now is the time to pack some eye wear and accessories for your fall closet. Trust me, you won't be sorry because this sale is pretty good!

Red, White & Blue {Shopping}

There is a right way and a wrong way to wear red, white and blue. The right way is to have majority of one/two colors, and just a sprinkle of third. The problem becomes when people wear all three colors proportionally and look like the flag. I mean, if that's what you are going for, have fun, but it doesn't look all that great. This weekend, sport some patriotic colors but avoid looking like the United States has thew up on you. Please. ha! 

Next week Nordstrom starts its Anniversary Sale and you know it's going to be sooo goooood! Better save your dollars and not go shopping for next few days because you are going to want to get your hands on a few things. Let me explain.

WHY: this is a limited time offer on all the new fall styles! How cool is that?!

WHAT: you will find the hottest trends on major mark down before fall season even begins

WHO: it is a sale that covers all their departments - women, men, kids, and includes designer items!

WHEN: the sale starts on July 9th (for cardholders) and on JULY 17th for the rest of the public. Don't wait, the prices will go up on August 3rd and there won't be another sale on fall items until the end of the season (i.e. a few months)!

Father's Day Gift Guide 2015

Hello there! It seems like time is passing me by as we are already in month of June. The next holiday that's around the corner is Father's Day. Although it seems like you have time to think about a gift for the Father(s) in your life, time doesn't stand still. Here I found some of the coolest gifts around and made them easy to shop in one location. Everything from trendy ties for the father who likes to dress well to a culinary connoisseur and the builder (a personalized hammer anyone?), it's all here. I love the vintage clock that's also an alarm because my husband definitely needs one on his side of the bed, as well as some cool grilling tools and spices to go with his new grill. Also, a new quality leather watch will put a smile on any dad's face. I think a ROKU subscription will dub you the 'favorite kid' and that's not a bad idea. What To Wear During Your Second Trimester

Now that I'm in third trimester, looking back at second trimester bump I have to say is my favorite. That's the time when you popped but haven't turned into a whale yet, can still tie your shoes and don't have heartburn after every meal. To look put together and stylish, I keep couple of tricks up my sleeve and want to share them with you

1. Shift Dress is your best friend. You know those shapeless dresses that only look good on hangers or models? Well, now they can become your best friend. Since they don't have a defined waist, they are perfect with a belt and some heels. Bonus: you can wear them after giving birth!

2. Maternity Jeans/Shorts are a life saver. No need to try to keep that button from popping out, or struggling to keep the belly band up every time you sit down. I love every single pair of maternity jeans  and shorts I owe and wouldn't trade them for the world.

3. Popover is new kind of classic. Do you like the look of a polished dressy shirt? Consider getting a popover in the same color/print. Since there are no buttons lover than the chest area, they won't be opening at the most inconvenient time. Plus, they will be perfect for breastfeeding when the baby arrives. It's a win win in my book!

4. Stretchy Fabrics are the best. When selecting a dress or a top, go for the scuba fabric as it will grow with your bump and accommodate your belly at every stage.

5. Accessorize while you can. Belts, handbags and shoes are the best way to play up the same dress/outfit. Add bracelets and necklaces while you still can and tiny little hands aren't trying to rip them off you.

How To Shop Nordstrom Sale

As any fashionista, I LOVE  good sale and Nordstrom has a great one going on right now. The Nordstrom Half Yearly sale is one of their biggest sales of the year if you don't count the holidays. And the discounts are pretty good, with Rebecca Minkoff bags under $100 (like this one 50% OFF) and Kate Spade sunglasses under $100.  I especially can't stop looking at the dresses and (might have) gotten one (which already sold out). Here are some of my tips for shopping this giant sale.

1. Shop Early. Don't wait until last minute to find that gorgeous bag because the chances are it will sell out very soon. With the prices that are 40-50% OFF regular retail, it's hard to hold off on buying something you've been wanting for a while.

2. Know What You Want/Need. There are over 50 pages of the sale and if you try to look through all of it, you will be wasting your time and won't be able to narrow things down. Be precise in what you want and look it. That will help you skim through the rest of the stuff.

3. Filter You Search. When you know exactly what you want, set the price, color and brand filters for the item of your choice. That way you can get more shopping done in shorter amount of time. If you want wedges, don't waste your time for looking at flats. They have very good search optimization filters which work for you when shopping for specific item.

4. Shop Smart. With free shipping and returns, if you aren't sure about exact sizing of something, just order both sizes. When it arrives try it on and send the unwanted, ill-fitting item bag. The same goes even for handbags and accessories. Not sure which color to get? Order both and decide later. After all, you don't want to miss out on a great deal.

5. Stock Up On Basics. Things like denim and basic white shirt will never go out of style so double up when getting your favorites. If you know the brand and have worn it (and LOVE it) get more than one. After all, you can always return it.

Mother's Day is quickly approaching (it's next weekend!) and as always, you are scratching your head about the perfect gift. I mean, she has a million scarves and doesn't really need anything but what would make your mom feel special?
