Guest Blogger {Straight A Style)

Today I have another stylish and classy lady who's blog I love to check out on daily basis. Amy dares to wear newest trends (that I'm too much of chicken to try) and doesn't it perfectly. She's also fabulous at blogging and have done so well. I lover her revives and daily outfit posts. It's all yours girl!

Hello! I'm Amy Ann from Straight A Style, and I am thrilled to be guest posting while Anna takes a short break to welcome her sweet new baby. I don't know about you, but I loved following along in her maternity style journey. Thanks for having me today. I blog from Tulsa, Oklahoma where I live with my amazing husband and our two goofy dogs. Fashion is one of my many joys in life. I believe in the power of expression and the individuality it provides and the confidence boost a great dress can give you. I think all women deserve to feel good in their clothes and fashion doesn’t have to cost a fortune. I'd love to get to know you and hope you'll come visit. Connecting with other people is my favorite part about this whole thing. On to today's post. I thought I would talk about one of my favorite recent trends: culottes! I was totally skeptical about this at first, but now I am a full on convert. I love the fuller pant paired with a more fitted or crop top. I'm almost 30 (gasp), and it's been a fun way for me to incorporate a crop top in an age appropriate way without showing any skin. It makes me feel modern and sophisticated all at the same time. I think culottes are a trend that spans all ages. My mom is incredibly stylish and just bought the cutest jean pair. She looks amazing in them! So don't be afraid to try out this fun trend.

Guest Blogger {Still Being Molly}

Hello there! I'm back:) Well, I'm not really back yet but I do have a few posts lined up from some of my favorite bloggers. It wouldn't be such a great community if I didn't spread some blog lovin. First up is one of the most genuine and real bloggers out there. She writes a blog about style, includes genuine reviews, posts recipes and talks about money (very few bloggers tackle that subject). Honestly, I love reading her blog because it's very down to earth and has a lot of ideas for day to day life. Make sure to check it our and come back soon. Take it away girl!

Hey everyone! My name is Molly and I blog over at Still Being Molly! I am so excited to be guest posting for Anna today!

peplum top, red jeans, Sseko sandals, Nickel and Suede earrings, The Mighty River Project bag

I am a HUGE fan of colored denim, but ESPECIALLY my red denim! My pair of red denim is easily one of my most-worn items in my closet. I wear them all year long! I've had people ask me, "How do you wear red denim? And how do you wear it in the summer?" The answer is EASY! Any which way you want! Red is such a fun color that you can easily pair it with other bold colors or prints, or tone it down with neutrals! Here are two ways in which I have worn red denim from summer to winter!

Winter / Fall style | red jeans, black and white graphic blouse, denim jacket | North Carolina Fashion Blogger (2)
OUTFIT TWO: Red Jeans: Stitch Fix (similar) | Denim Jacket: Belk c/o (similar) | Scarf: World Market | Graphic Blouse: Stitch Fix (similar) | Clutch: Stitch Fix | Earrings: Stitch Fix (gift) (love these) | Watch: Vierra Watches c/o (use code "BEINGMOLLY" for 10% off your order!) | Shoes: TOMS for Target (similar)
NOW AND THEN:

then and now | red jeans What about you? Do you love red or colored denim, too? How do you like to wear it? Thank you again to Anna for having me today!

And that's all for today!

Home Make Over {Living & Dining Room}

Dining Room

____________________________________________________________

Living Room

When I set out to do a make over in our living and dining room area, I spend a lot of time on Pinterset, looking through countless images of homes. I wanted the space to feel light and airy, with a pop of color here and there, but I also had a very (very) small budget. I was so tired of the same blah walls and just lack of character in our home. The before pictures were snapped at night and do have an ugly light in them but that's practically how boring our home was.
I love the new space. I DIYed the pillows, vases and painted everything from ceiling to the lamp base. Nothing says remodel like a fresh coat of spray paint. Our house is not fancy or glamorous but it's home. I love that we can lounge on the couches with the new cute pillows or have dinner at a large table that fits everyone.

New
Dining Room Table - $400 (Pier One Imports)
Curtains - $80 (TJMaxx)
Wall Sea Urchins - $35 (Target)
Pillow - $20 (IKEA)

 Thank you for stopping by and I hope you draw some inspiration for updating your own home!
