I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We definitely enjoyed ourselves with relaxing morning and lots of family time in the afternoon. I must say, holidays are starting to take on a whole new meaning now that I have kids. It is more about spending time together and less about stressing out (although I'm still learning to not stress out). Father's Day Gift Guide 2015

Hello there! It seems like time is passing me by as we are already in month of June. The next holiday that's around the corner is Father's Day. Although it seems like you have time to think about a gift for the Father(s) in your life, time doesn't stand still. Here I found some of the coolest gifts around and made them easy to shop in one location. Everything from trendy ties for the father who likes to dress well to a culinary connoisseur and the builder (a personalized hammer anyone?), it's all here. I love the vintage clock that's also an alarm because my husband definitely needs one on his side of the bed, as well as some cool grilling tools and spices to go with his new grill. Also, a new quality leather watch will put a smile on any dad's face. I think a ROKU subscription will dub you the 'favorite kid' and that's not a bad idea. I hope you have fun shopping for dad although it's not so easy most of the time.

Mother's Day Musings

Mother's Day is quickly approaching (it's next weekend!) and as always, you are scratching your head about the perfect gift. I mean, she has a million scarves and doesn't really need anything but what would make your mom feel special? 

If you are looking for unique and one-of-a-kind gifts, ETSY is your best bet, like the gardening caddy below. As well as real special treats - hello special order macaroons from a place I never knew existed. Please be delicious! I know that my mom appreciates useful gifts and would love a mixer or gardening stuff but at the same time, giving her a movie will make her look forward to relaxation and time alone. We also make is a point to spend some time with her, either taking her to dinner or making it from start to finish. It's nice to be treated, at least once a year. What does your mom like as a gift? Do you always buy flowers or skip those and go for real nice (i.e. expensive) gifts?

It's time to get your Christmas pajamas out, drink hot tea and read. I found this adorable children's book in Barnes and Nobles the other day and think it would be perfect for snow day snuggles. Especially for certain someone who has been giving his parents trouble at bed time. I love J.Crew pajamas and although I haven't splurged on one yet, I'm hoping I will find one under the Christmas tree this year. Also, must have cozy slippers (which are also cute). I hope you are enjoying your long weekend (don't remind me that it's almost over) and finding new and tasty ways to eat that left over turkey.
