If you have been paying attention to the fashion world, you noticed that this fall it's all about the 70's. Although I'm not a huge fan of the era (so much fringe!), I can get behind 'everything denim' trend. Especially since I don't have to buy things like flares (they have been laying in my closet for almost nine years) and this denim skirt (from my high school days). And the fact that I fit into a skirt that I wore in high school has me all giddy. It also proves the fact that I wasn't the prom queen (ha!).
This outfit was inspired by this look but I'm not sure how close I got. Do you think I look half as cool as she does in her outfit posts?
P.S Don't forget today is the last day to enter the giveaway for two bracelets of your choice!
Thank you for stopping by!

flats: Marc Fisher (similar here and here)

I'm so sad that we are almost at the end of summer. I do love the early fall when you can get away with light layers and start wearing tall boots. But I'm not looking forward to the freezing winter temperatures. For now, I'm enjoying the transition into cooler temperatures yet warmer days. This outfit is perfect this time of year and I love the bright orange color. Thank you for stopping by!

There is nothing better than shift maxi dress for postpartum dressing. Honestly, I was never a fan shift dresses but right now I'm appreciating the convenience of oversized dressing. I love all the flawing blouses, shift dresses and oversized tops. This dress was right up my ally because let's face it, the waist skirts and form fitting dresses aren't going to make appearance for a while.

Hello lovelies. Hope everyone is having a great week so far. I'm trying to stay busy and keep up on my projects around the house, making time fly by faster. Although the heat and constantly being on my feet isn't doing me any favors. Yesterday I shared my favorite (very useful) products for surviving the third trimester (check them out here). But by far the most important thing is to keep hydrated especially during summer. Hope all you pregnant ladies are doing well and all the none pregnant ladies, say a prayer for us.

Same Time Last Year

Around the first week of June last year, I posted these outfits on my blog. I can still tell you what was going on when I took the pictures, where they were taken and who I was doing after the photoshoots. It's funny how many memories are connected to the clothes we wear. For example, my wedding dress holds a lot of memories and is very important to me as it was a gift from my future husband. He wanted me to have the dress of my dreams (not sparing any expense), therefore I will keep it for the rest of my life. On the other hand, this eShakti striped dress wasn't such a great fit and I had to pass it on to my cousin.
I'm also thinking about the things I wanted to accomplish in a year, and how far I have come. Although I'm not one of the top earning bloggers and very far from even thinking about making living out of this hobby, I like doing it. I love seeing how my style has evolved over years and how much my tastes have changed. Having a few more collaboration and sponsorship opportunities helps as well .
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to those who have been following me, supporting me and encouraging me along the way. I could not have done it without the help of my awesome husband, photographer sister and all those who visit/comment and share about my blog.

What To Wear During Your Second Trimester
From top left to right 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 |
Now that I'm in third trimester, looking back at second trimester bump I have to say is my favorite. That's the time when you popped but haven't turned into a whale yet, can still tie your shoes and don't have heartburn after every meal. To look put together and stylish, I keep couple of tricks up my sleeve and want to share them with you
1. Shift Dress is your best friend. You know those shapeless dresses that only look good on hangers or models? Well, now they can become your best friend. Since they don't have a defined waist, they are perfect with a belt and some heels. Bonus: you can wear them after giving birth!
2. Maternity Jeans/Shorts are a life saver. No need to try to keep that button from popping out, or struggling to keep the belly band up every time you sit down. I love every single pair of maternity jeans and shorts I owe and wouldn't trade them for the world.
3. Popover is new kind of classic. Do you like the look of a polished dressy shirt? Consider getting a popover in the same color/print. Since there are no buttons lover than the chest area, they won't be opening at the most inconvenient time. Plus, they will be perfect for breastfeeding when the baby arrives. It's a win win in my book!
4. Stretchy Fabrics are the best. When selecting a dress or a top, go for the scuba fabric as it will grow with your bump and accommodate your belly at every stage.
5. Accessorize while you can. Belts, handbags and shoes are the best way to play up the same dress/outfit. Add bracelets and necklaces while you still can and tiny little hands aren't trying to rip them off you.
