Good morning from the land of sleepy and tired. This pregnancy is so draining that all I want to do is sleep all day long. My energy levels are super low and that's on a good day. Although this dress was a definite pick me up yesterday for church. I hope you are having a good day and thank you for stopping by!

Street Style

coat: J.Crew
hat: Target
jeans: J.Crew
bag: TJMaxx (similarsimilar)
boots: imported (similar)

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you noticed that the background to my photos was a little different. I was in NYC and attended the  Joe Fresh Winter Magic event at 5th Ave flagship store. It was so much fun. Plus I met some cool bloggers, chatted with Blair of Alantic-Pacific and Julia of Gal Meets Glam. More pictures to come soon!
My sister and I had a whole day together, exploring the city, getting lost and eating out. Then next day we explored the MAT and did some window shopping at Bloomingdale's. The trip was absolutely awesome and made this holiday season that much more memorable! NYC is so cool to visit (not live in. too hectic.) but winter weather is brutal so we had to bundle up. Today I'm sharing with you the NYC street style, hop you like it.
Hope you had a great weekend!

Alone Is a Good Thing

Plaid Scarf | Oversized Sweater | Tall Brown Riding Boots | Happy Medley

sweater // scarf // boots // leggings // crossbody

For some reason, I don't hate Mondays. I mean, sure the weekend is over and chores begins but I love the quietness of the house when Jonathan is down for his nap. I love doing my own things without people around and although I love spending time with hubby, I crave my own time. For me, being alone is a good thing because I get to think, relax and just be. So this post is brought to you by the quiet time on the couch and third cup of tea.

P.S. Thank you to all my readers who faithfully stuck by me and continue reading my blog! Also, to all my friends who support me in this venture. I appreciate each and every one of you.

Fall Uniform

Fall Outfit | Cords | Brown & Burgundy | Happy Medley

top: TJMaxx (similar)
blazer: H&M (splurge, save )
cords: LOFT similar
flats: Ellen Tracy (similar, similar)

My fall uniform consists of these cords. I mean, I wear them every day, except when I'm on my knees scrubbing the floor after breakfast (read: smashed scrambled eggs. yuck!) I love corduroy pants because they are the most comfortable pants in the history of the world. They make you look put together without compromising style and you can dress them up or down. This is my version of dressed down, because you know, flats. Hope you are having a great and thank you so much for reading!

Sweater Weather

Sweater Dress | Jean Jacket | Happy Medley

dress: LOFT
jacket, watch: Target
bag: Tommy Hilfiger
loafers: TJMaxx
We are having a golden autumn this year and I'm loving it. It's the perfect combination of cool air and warm sunshine, and it's time to get those sweaters out. I hope ya'll are enjoying this time of the year because I'm definitely a fan of the apple cider and the look of pumpkins on my porch (I don't like the taste of them). Also it's the perfect time for some family photos - the foliage provides gorgeous backdrop for some good shots, as well as memories. Enjoy your selves friends because life is just too short not too.
Thank you for stopping by!

Patriotic (Sort Of)

dress: TJMaxx (1, 2, 3)
bag: Old Navy (12)
shoes: H&M (1, 2)
belt: H&M (similar)
Happy 4th everyone! I feel somewhat sacrilegious wearing the red, white and blue colors. After all, it's a flag of a nation and people gave their lives for it, not just a fashion statement. That's my personal opinion, and yet I still want to join other bloggers in celebrating this holiday. (Just a side note. Why don't we all look like a Christmas tree during holiday season?)
I hope everyone enjoys their three day weekend and gets some rest. I will be celebrating with family and taking the next week off from blogging. It's our anniversary and I'm doing a 5K run, so need to train and plan some festivities. It's been a long time since I took a break but I think I need it. I'm thinking about changing direction and re-branding, or even quitting all together. Not sure what the next step is and what God has for me at this point but I do know that there more important things out there than outfits. I love dressing well and showing ladies how to be modest and fashionable but maybe that's not my thing in life. As I take time to contemplate, pray and enjoy my family, I hope you have a great weekend. Thank you for reading!

Bold

It wouldn't be spring without some rain. I'm so glad to see the snow gone and warmer days emerge. It really is amazing what some sunshine and warmth does to your being. Well, it's not totally warm here and most days it's still below fifty but still, there is hope. And as usual, spring brings along a huge to-so list. Everything from cleaning the garage to planning the vacation is on there. But for now, I have my red boots to keep my mood up (even in the rain).

My Preppy Valentine

blouse: H&M, skirt: thrifted, flats: TJMaxx, purse: Target, belt: Loft

I love wearing sparkles for any occasion (or without one). Valentine's Day calls for something extra special so I'm breaking out my sequin skirt. Of course, there is the traditional LBD and heels but why not go with something preppy? Dust pink and navy is one of my favorite color combinations right now because it's effortlessly stylish. And flats enable you to move easily and break out into dance moves at any moment, because love is a great reason to celebrate. This Valentine's Day which look are you going for? Sexy or cute? Preppy or daring? I still haven't decided on the outfit but I adore this look.
Thank you for stopping by!

Get Over It

sweater: TJMaxx, coat: J.Crew, booties: Ann Taylor, bag: Kate Spade, hat & scarf: Gap

It's easy to fall into winter blues, especially in January. Nothing is happening (except getting my credit card statements and realizing I spend too much over holidays) and it's absolutely frigid outside. But you already know that. Everyone (and I mean, everyone) is complaining about how cold it is and how we cannot wait until summer. Then summer comes and we can't stand the heat and the humidity. So which one is it? I have nothing to complain about. I'm sitting in a nice, warm house with peacefully asleep baby and a wonderful husband who's nodding off as I type this. Millions of people around the world don't have even half of what I have and that's something to be thankful for. Yes, winters are cold and how is that a news? I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm tired of complaining. I'm tired of hearing people complain and I'm tired of myself getting caught up in it. It's January. Temperatures are below zero. Get over it.
So what's new with you?
