This fall a lot of trends are staying and lots of new ones are coming onto the scene (hello flares!). Red if this season's hottest color - as a matter of fact, all shades of red are (from burgundy to orangy). Also, lace up flats are all the rage and I'm loving this inexpensive version from Topshop. How about the open toe booties that are all over the blogs right now? The nude version is just perfect for everything from skirts to boyfriend jeans. To say that I'm a little late to the party is an understatement. But what one to do when the pretty floral dress is hanging in the closet? Wear it! I couldn't fit into it when I had my belly and been waiting to loose some of that stomach to wear it. I still have about ten pounds to loose but there is nothing a good pair of spanx wouldn't fix. Also, it's almost fall and this is my last chance to sport some flowers. And to be honest, it's so pretty that I hope I get to wear it again in the spring (and maybe this one too)

I'm so sick and tired of winter that I'm protesting the latest snow storm with (almost) spring outfit. Bright colors and gorgeous florals are asking to come out of my closet! I cannot wait for this snow to melt and cold to go away. On that note, never mind me while I get sick after taking these outfit photos in negative temperatures. Don't tell my mom. Alone Is a Good Thing

For some reason, I don't hate Mondays. I mean, sure the weekend is over and chores begins but I love the quietness of the house when Jonathan is down for his nap. I love doing my own things without people around and although I love spending time with hubby, I crave my own time. For me, being alone is a good thing because I get to think, relax and just be. So this post is brought to you by the quiet time on the couch and third cup of tea.

Welcome to the new week! I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed some of the gorgeous weather we've been having. We were thrilled to finally ditch the coats and jump into flip flops and shorts. Sunday afternoon we took a stroll and it was wonderful. On the other hand, with the coming of warmer weather and Jonathan being outside more, there is going to be a lot more laundry, that's for sure. He loves running around and exploring the outdoors so at least that's a plus. We will be spending a whole lot of time outside and probably forgetting to eat lunch at one point. So happy to see the weather warm up because we've been cooped up inside far too long.
