Welcome to post holiday weekend Monday. Dontcha hate those? I wish the weekend lasted a little bit longer. One, our family vacation is over and two, we drove almost 16 hours with a toddler. There is always so much work to do before a vacation. Between errands, packing and cleaning the house (I hate coming back to a mess) it's been non stop here. And of course, my pregnant brain forgets half of what I need to do, as well as my to-do list after I leave home. Ha! At least it's gorgeous out and we are enjoying the sunshine while out and about. The perfect, spring dress weather has arrived in upstate New York and I couldn't be happier about it. Taking out my pretty little dresses (while I still can fit into them) is such an amazing feeling that I cannot wait to share more with you all! I'm loving this and this floral dress as well. The quality is a little on thin side (it is not lined) but it's perfect for summer weather and under $22!  

Mother's Day is coming up and honestly, I'm puzzled about what to get for our moms. I don't want to be corny but give something special and personal. Check out the Nordstrom Gift Guide - there is always something for everyone (and every budget). Plus they always offer FREE shipping and returns - the best thing ever (just in case she doesn't like it).

So you thought you knew what cold was before right? Nope, not really. It's so cold here today that pretty much all activities are cancelled. Okay, are you ready? It's -40F with windchill in upstate New York tonight. I'm thankful for a warm and cozy house, for my dear family and my little birthday boy. Instead of complaining how cold it is, I'm choosing to focus on the good things that winter brings. Like sitting on the couch and catching up with my favorite show (I can barely keep up with one) and drinking hot tea. Oh yeah, and finishing up last of the birthday cupcakes. Now that's the life!

When it comes to outfit pictures, I started this blog very self consciousness. I didn't feel very confident and still didn't know who I am in many different ways. I wanted to be like this or that blogger, simply because I liked their style. Over the years, I have discovered more of myself and became confident in my own skin. It's really fun to do photo shoots now-a-days and although people  are still gawking, I really don't care anymore. They usually don't ask, but even if, I just tell the truth. Most of my family still doesn't understand why and what exactly I do but it's fun. And I like it. I'm also so very grateful for my faithful photographers who constantly oblige with my demands. This blog would not exist without the people behind the lens.

The temperatures have dropped below reasonable for outfit pictures outside. So I had  to resort to inside photo shoot to make sure everyone's limbs stay in tact. The Christmas decor is put away and only the cold remains with not a ray of sunshine on most days. I want to take Jonathan out and let him experience the winter wonderland but when it's 3F outside, even the bravest mom gives up. It is supposed to 'warm up' (a.k.a. stay above 25 this week) which means opportunity for sledding and some fun. Most days we survive the cold with naps and hot tea. Stay warm my friends!
